Nullriver has released version 3 of Installer.app. This version supports the newest version of the iPhone firmware and also sports many new features. The amount of downloadable applications got so large that the home list got to large to support it. Now they have a folder type system, making it easier and quicker to find the application you are trying to download and install. Nullriver's site is going very slow because of the popularity of this product.

I'll be waiting for the applications the official SDK will bring. I'm not desperate for any added functionality, especially since it may come at the cost of my wonderful iPhone.

One key aspect of the previous Installer.app was that it was completely reversible: as far as I understand there really wasn't any danger of bricking or otherwise damaging the iPhone as long as you did a restore before an update...and if a hacked iPhone wasn't what you wanted, again, an unhacked one was just a restore away.
Is that still true or have things changed with this version? |

Am I the only one seeing "This does not work with iPod Touch or iPhone firmware 1.1.1 at this time. However you can downgrade an iPhone by following the instructions here" on top of the download link?I mean can ANYONE please tell me what to download EXACTLY so it will work with my 1.1.1?I just kinda figured out that you HAVE to have the jailbreaked version of installer app... and then you update from the iphone.. someone please have. After I had to update to 1.1.1 obviously everything went "woof"..NOW, HOW do I get the installer app on my iphone? please help. REALLY confused here.whats the first step?
