amantheboy, if you check the diagram from the front panel, you will see that the led is connect to one wire not two. As shown here : http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry265135

Can you please post pics of the back of the case??

Ok, here it is (but keep in mind that I'm not ok with that and I'll have some work to do yet):

I had to do some workarounds just to satisfy my ego and say myself that I acomplish to mount the case, but I'm buying this tray from a Silverstone TJ07 case to use in the project (will be here in about 60 days or so):

I would hardly say that! There are many people working hard on their g5s, just because we haven't posted yet does not mean nothing is happening!!! Patience my friend

yeah, this thread aint dead... I still see people posting photos..... don't any updates from me for a while, I've got lot's of real-world stuff going on right now.

I am toying with the idea of installing a mac mini in the superdrive bay. It would be on an adhock connection with my mainboard, and it would function as my lil helper for torrents, dvd rips, encoding, etc. I would modify the superdrive hatch to be slot-loading, and I would run a DVI jumper to the rear of the G5, and would use leo screen sharing as well as an internal kvm to control it.

Smoothy: Sweet. You did not say a word about modding for a quite long time, so I thought that your MacPro-buy was the last piece of your modding puzzle biggrin.gif Nice then, I am starting to be curious.

I was asked to post a final pic of my ports from the inside:

I am in the middle slapping a coat of gray testers model paint on there, but it's pretty much done.

Hi,

the last picture doesn't show the final status - now there's a 12cm fan on top of the powersupply.
I hope this will be enough "air conditioning" smile.gif

so my front-mounted board, and cabling method would very easily allow for this:

An iMac Pro.

What do you guys think? should I make this happen?
