we got a mac mini a few months ago after switching from a crappy windows pc, but...

thie internet is significantly slower on our mac than our old pc.
I'm not sure if this is a hardware problem, browser problem, or OS

maybe try firefox

is the connection to the router/modem the same as before (wireless or Ethernet)?

What I've noticed with my MacBook, is that you have to double tap enter to get things going. If you hit enter once after typing the url, it takes forever but two taps makes it incredibly fast. Never understood it but I've gotten used to it.
