Ok, sorry, its just that the installer is 2 in 1 so I though I would post here. I'll do another thread or search for an exsiting one.
The thing that bothers me is that before the install there were a couple of commands which were suppose to reverse the process, it's just that I dont know which one were those... |

tomtefar maybe later, when I'll be more skilled in device drivers I can fix this
gajda QUOTE Graphics chip error! Restarted. Ooops... It seems, that this is a problem of NIC and graphic driver card interraction. You need to start network driver in the last order, when all driver are started. It seems, that this is not my problem. Apple are luckies, their have several configs, and can support them all well.

DaemonES: Right
I get the graphics chip error sometimes but only with one out of 5 different NVIDIA cards I have (had), namely the Geforce 6500 TC. Nice to know where this comes from. This post has been edited by tomtefar: Jan 24 2007, 04:07 PM |

gajda:
Stick the driver into some other directory besides /System/Library/Extensions Then go into /etc and add the line CODE kextload /the_dir_where_you_put_the_kext/RealtekR1000.kext to the file rc.local This post has been edited by tomtefar: Jan 25 2007, 12:53 PM |

Hi,
I installed the latest driver, and although at first glance is seems to work great, it gets unstable after a few minutes of usage. After a few minutes of usage, the connection dies. I can't ping anything anymore, safari won't load pages, etc. Unloading the kext and then loading it again gives me the ability to ping, but as soon as I try to load a webpage, the network died again. No more ping replies, just nothing. I've compiled the driver myself, with Debug configuration. Dmesg shows a lot of activity, even when the connection dies. In the system.log I can see that at a certain time (probably when the connection died) it only receives packets with packet len of '60'. Before that, it received packet lengths of arbitrary sizes. I really have no idea what could be causing this. If you want, I can send you attach a copy of my system.log. My hardware is a ConRoe945G-DVI running JaS 10.4.8 DVD. |

remenic do you using AHCI mode for SATA hdds?
roccoo heh, open terminal, enter to the driver dir and type sh installdebug.sh. It may not work on 10.4.1, maybe recompilation is required. MacAndor you rock man 1. I have no hardware. 2. Video drivers are very complex. Of course I can contribute GeForce 6100 support to macvidia project, but now I'm not planning to do that.
