It appears a grey screen with 4 languages,just after I get access to the Internet. How can i fix it? |

first off, i would like to thank everyone involved in this project for their time effort and knowledge. i have this driver running successfully on an asus p5b MB running 10.4.8 w/ semthex, that has an 8111b LAN. It loads perfectly and has been very stable. The only problem is that the max DL bandwidth speed is always around 230KB, when it should be around 315KB.... about a 30% drop. I have tried changing the ethernet settings manually, but that didn't help, although i did notice that the port LEDs displayed properly. any thoughts?

It seems, that RTL8201 works fine with AppleRealtek8139.
nahdude very strange. Try to decrease packet size in network configuration. Mutenroy show me panic message. For example try to load diver from singleuser mode. Sorry, but now I've stuck with kernel development and have no time for this driver (cause it works perfect for me, I'm lucky? |

Is it working with the Realtek 8139? That would be really nice, that's the one in my AMD64 Compaq laptop |

tnx man. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=225354 has a nice description on how to fix too by the way, without having to compile. Hell yeah. I hope I can try your solution somewhere tomorrow, if the installment of 10.4.6 from JAS is going to work... prey prey. On my compaq presario R3000 AMD 64 there is the Realtek 8139 Ethernet onboard. If that works you're my god because I need to download a lot of stuff on that newborn Mac after OSX86 is running on it update: even better, just saw this website: http://www3.sympatico.ca/ferluc/Fedora/ It looks like Linux/Unix systems, and Mac OSX also probably, works fine with the hardware parts... fingers crossed, enough linux drivers available |

It's solution for me, and people who can send real bug reports. I've downloaded through this driver gigabytes of data from LAN.
Crash can't say anything for me. As I sad, I'm planing to fix this, but now have no time. |

And also I need to know panic message. ok... I must first boot MAC OS X and try to find things you need... I`m in "MAC world" for the first time in my life and very, very very noob, but i menage to do everything (installation and drivers), without seating on your head... Since I want to erase, format, kill Windows and bee only the MAC user, I can`t continue without Internet.... And imagine my smile :-) when I see google screen for the firs time on my Intel MAC...... and my :-( when see gray swich off or restart screen... I try and I try and I try to fix it by my self.... but.... As you see I talk to the maker of driver... I know we going to find solution.... Thank`s |

Oh =|
To get kernel panic message try to load in singleuser mode (boot parameter -s) and load debug version of driver manually (you can find it in archive attached to first post). After than wait until kernel panic being. |
