I've finaly managed working my Mobility HD 2400 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.7 & 10.6.8 (more succesfully). I've edited personality:

02 00 00 00 40 00 00 00 01 01 00 00 00 01 00 07

10 00 00 00 10 00 00 00 00 01 00 00 00 10 01 01

Who have no backlight DON'T USE feature FEATURES_USE_BACKLIGHT (my personality don't use it). This is about backlight problem.

Thank's to 0xdeadbeaf for solving sence-id problem. That really works! If your radeon_bios_decode shows you senseid value 5 this is wrong, because there's no definition for this id in ATI2400Controller.kext. Only 1,2,3,4,7 SENSE IDs. USE 7.

You will get messed up colors. Add property "@0,display-link-component-bits" with value 6 to ati.c and recompile. (you'll also need to add support of your card in ati.c).

But I have a problem with CI/QE. When ATIRadeonX2000.kext is installed, i got gray screen on both internal & external monitors.

On 10.6.8 I have black screen with cursor & with some white artefacts (progress :P) ). IOreg says that all servicies are registered (Iago, acceleration & s.o.). I'm going mad...

Who knows how to solve this?

You can only use 10.5.8 with acceleration (simply use my kexts in the first post & you'll need to enter your EDID to @0,override-no-connect).

As for Snow Leo & Lion you'll not get fully working card. There's problem with acceleration. There's no solve for that. The only hope - waiting 10.7.3 release... Maybe it will work.

But you can use your card with proper resoluion...
