Rik26
Download CUDA Driver Update 3.2 RC 2 A bug in the CUDA Preference Pane does not find the latest version, but I found it on the Nvidia web site. I've already seen it but i think that's not the final release.... It's the release candidate 2...
Gringo Vermelho
Anyone seeing this, hoping it will fix the CUDA control panel popup on every boot, don't bother. If you install it, the stupid CUDA control panel pops up anyway and wants to downgrade it to 3.1.
Akshunhiro
Just remove it from preference pane until it's updated if the popup on boot annoys you.
Gringo Vermelho
Good idea, thanks. The popup itself doesn't really bother me that much, it's the retardedness of asking to upgrade to an older version that bothers me. It's not very "Mac". lol
DarwinX
Good idea, thanks. The popup itself doesn't really bother me that much, it's the retardedness of asking to upgrade to an older version that bothers me.It's not very "Mac". lol It's not very "Mac" because it is very NVidia... While the CUDA Preference Pane shows an update available, I receive NO popups or any other prompts at boot.
Maniac10
You can remove the update daemon located in /library/launchagents or /library/launchdaemons, can't rememeber where it was exactly.
Gringo Vermelho
Right, it's in Library/Launchagents. Thanks for the tip, bootup popup is gone.
anibalin
Working here. Updated and no more pop ups. Thanks.
MacFanatic76
Seems the newest update fixes all this annoying popups - i also experienced them, but just some minutes ago, the CUDA-daemon wanted once again to connect to the internet, so i allowed it. And guess what - a new version is available, the 3.2.17 It also seems that the newest Apple update (10.6.5) has brought with it an Nvidia driver update, too. As seen in the CUDA's Prefpanel - "GPU Driver Version: 1.6.24.17 (256.00.15f04)" So i hope this little feedback will be of some help to any Nvidia and CUDA-freaks Cheers ! xopher
Quick question: Why would I want to install the CUDA driver? Do I get performance improvements, and if so, in what? Thanks!
dimke_yu
I have the same question?
3.14r2
AFAIK some applications use CUDA. Like Adobe CS4/5 products. If there are no products using CUDA on your Hackintosh, then nothing will change with CUDA installation.
