Omzy Posted June 20, 2010 Share Posted June 20, 2010 Hello, I am trying to install iATKOS S3_V2 DVD on my system my system specs are as follow Pentium D 915 2.8 Ghz 800FSB Intel Motherboard DG965RY Twinmos 2*2GB = 4GB 667FSB Western Digital 160GB SATA Drive Nvidia 250 GTS 1 GB DDR3 TP Link 54Mb Wireless PCI Card The installation goes smoothly, when i restart.. it doesn't load osx but keeps on restarting the pc. i need help plzzz if someone could tell me what to select during installation, which bootloader and patches and drivers. Your help is appreciated The S3 DVD can boot into 5 kernels: qoopz 10.3.0, qoopz 10.2.0, pcj 0.9 10.2.0, atom 10.3.0 and the modbin 10.0.0 kernel. It boots into qoopz 10.3.0 by default but you can boot using any of the following kernel boot flags, if the default does not work...... Recommend that you first check that the qoopz 10.3.0 kernel is not named as mach_kernel, as otherwise the 10.6.4 update will overwrite it with the vanilla mach_kernel........it is a good idea to keep a bootable fall-back kernel in your / folder........so suggest you name the qoopz 10.3.0 kernel as mach_kernel.qoopz1030 in / and create a symbolic link to mach_kernel.......... sudo ln -s /mach_kernel.qoopz1030 /mach_kernel this way after updating you can still boot manually by typing mach_kernel.qoopz1030 at the boot: prompt..........but you may choose to wait for a 10.6.4 patched kernel before updating to 10.6.4........... Have you tried SleepEnabler.kext(10.6.2 or 10.6.3 version) together with NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and OpenHaltRestart.kext to get sleep working in 32bit mode....... Ok, Got it to work finally. I had the wrong sleep enabler version. Thanks for the help. Now if I could only get the core temperature to read in iStat, I'll be golden. If you want to use Windows primarily and OS X second, then use EasyBCD 2.0 bootloader in Windows 7 to boot OS X but if you want to use OS X primarily and Windows second, use AsereBLN v1.19 in OS X to boot Windows......... So, you want to use Windows primarily and OS X second, install Windows 7 and then install and run EasyBCD 2.0 >>> "Add/Remove Entries" and add a entry for Mac OS X...... Try this RealTek 8185 installer for your TL-WN353G 54Mbps 802.11b/g PCI Adapter As for Ethernet Gigabit 82566, I assume you enabled onboard LAN in BIOS........also see here....... I would recommend using EasyBCD 2.0 Beta in Windows to boot OS X as there are reports of Chameleon not being able to boot Windows 7........
