Hello, well, sorry for my english, i'm from uruguay!
I tryed with lots of kext's (azalia, alc888 and alc1200) and no one worked, everytime i get choppy sound, like cutted. The unique differences between all that kexts was the posibility of connecting a microphone, because, with all i get the same horrible choppy sound. And the particularity of this is that when i move the mouse, the sound plays perfectly, and when i don't touch the mouse, the sound starts to be choppy. I think the problem is caused by the video kext maybe? or the audio? maybe the ps2 kext? What do you think? Thanks for answering PS: I have a Asus M3A78-EM (sb700, i don't know if it is alc888 or alc 1200 because both kexts worked) and a nvidia 9600gt I'm using iatkos v7 (10.5.7) |

good news for you!! (Y)
its related to a cpu problem...just add this flag idlehalt=0 in the apple.boot.plist and it will be fine |
