ok till this is resolved can someone link me to the older ktext which enables just the line out for audio? I don't really need to use a mic or digital out for now so I think I can live with just my speakers working.

Here is the Azalia kext from another thread which works for 2 speaker line-out only: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=31521 |

Thanks for the AppleHDA.kext!
Works fine so far on Asus P5Q-E. I haven't tested all I/O yet. Does anyone have this successfully loading from Extra/Extensions? If so please let me know how you did it. /EDIT Here's an alternative: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1106377 Should work from the extras folder. |

Can someone help me, I tried using the solution found here, but I can't seem to get the sound to work on my Intel i7 920 - Asus P6T (none deluxe edition) to work. It's using a Realtek ALC1200. Any suggestions guys??

This thread is about the Analog Devices AD2000B.
I typed ALC1200 for you in the search box and look what I got: http://www.insanelymac.com/search.php?cx=0...;q=ALC1200#1047 |

Reading and reading and reading... i removed the AppleHDA.kext from my extensions folder, installed the ADI-AD2000b.PKG file from this thread (posted earlier) and VIOLA!! Sound! Beautiful sound! MANY MANY MANY Thanks! Bluehopper |

Still waiting for the kernel panic fix. Use the drivers linked here (AD2000b.HDA.FIX.kext in the ad2000b archive, and HDAEnabler.kext), they work with shutdown. You can also put them in /Extra/Extensions, as Beerkex'd said. I have now a fully working retail leo, without touching /System/Library/Extensions |

hi garry88,
Great work here. Grats. I've been using your kext successfully until I updated my hackintosh to 10.5.7. Can you please patch the new kext to make it work with our audio chip? |

Third time is the charm!
Use the ones from here instead, they work with 10.5.7: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1106377 I'm getting some sound assertion errors on startup since installing 10.5.7, but it works. |

You're right. Might as well use VoodooHDA then.
