I've installed the nc10 package from biketown, but sleep doesn't work (apple button->stop)
It goes like in stand by but after pressing the power button I have a black screen, |

Hi Yep i followed the instructions precisely ... open terminal / sudo su /enter password / nano /System/Library/PreferencePanes/Trackpad.prefPane/Contents/Info.plist / use only arrow keys to scroll down to above key and string area / and delete them both... using del key / ctrl+O (letter O and not number 0) / enter / ctrl+X / reboot ... Wasn't working, so put the lines back in, then tried your installer. Yep on 10.5.6 from your ISO posted yesterday many many many many thanks! with the installer, still not working? can you provide screen cap of your system preferences? I've installed the nc10 package from biketown, but sleep doesn't work (apple button->stop) It goes like in stand by but after pressing the power button I have a black screen, you need to use original powermanagement.bundle with those packages, anyways, i will revise it tomorrow, to add original powermanagement bundle so it will work i guess... |

Sure... that looks funny, your toucpad either not standard or you have messed up the trackpad prefpane somehow... i will provide another pref pane with everything included... complete replacement... it sounds more like it has messed up... as you say you followe everything correctly, which i have doubts... you didnt change anything else in the system right? |

Just a standard NC10. Nothing changed. Instructions followed to the letter, promise!!!
but yes something is messed up for sure. That would be amazing mysticus thanks By the way as I've been setting this up, i've recently found a much better UK Keyboard layout than is installed by default. it maps everything precisely, which is really good. download here with instructions... http://www.gingerbeardman.com/UK.keylayout/ |

giliath: i can confirm mirroring does not work however desktop extension works... to be able to do it, you need to enable display menu on tray bar, and make sure where you leave your mouse, old display is garbled, you can still click on things... just try couple of times, to disable mirroring, it will fix it self...
cklaw: just read the post#1 go to bike town and collect the necessary files from there... uk users: borelli poiinted out to some files for uk layout, and it works! i placed in samsung nc10 files section in bike town, here is the quick link to samsung files folder how to use correct UK keyboard layout: + Install the uk keyboard layout fix. + Open system preferences / International / Input Menu + Scroll down (through the middle to bottom) to find UK selection (not british, it is UK) + Select UK + On the bottom of the menu, you will see "Show input menu in menu bar" option also select this (dont close the menu yet) + Make "UK" selection from the menu bar (top right corner, you will see language selection, select the "UK" option) + Open a finder window /application/text editor, and type somethings that you were not able to see when you pressed the certain keys... working? ok now unselect "Show input menu in menu bar" in the system preferences and close the system preferences menu + From now on it should work from UK |

Hi Mysticus C*,
I've been carefully reading the posts for the last 10 days or so and i decided to take the plunge. However, after what seemed like a successful install, i am stuck at the apple logo with mac os x refusing to start beyond that. FYI i got the original jas 10.5.4 iso, combined it with the apple 10.5.6 combo using the dvd upgrade utility. and the Samsung iso was copied using ddmac and then i started with it and proceed to install. All was smooth with no errors. i am now downloading the all in one iso and will see how that goes. Any clue as to what i did wrong? Thanks for all your great work, i decided to get the nc10 after reading this forum. |

Ho, just a question on the nc10, what the max resolution? the atom is not a core2duo? I can see just one proc in the system info. Thx atom is currently single core, but there is new models coming out or came out already for dual core, but core processors are totally different range! atom however has hyperthreading, which enables processing two threads at the same time, when you check activity monitor it will show like two process monitor... |
