Hello Mysticus,
I have donated for your great work! Keep it up! I have Mac OS is not installed, but it will soon do so. However, I use an external drive.. Sorry for my bad englisch Greetings from Germany Edit: I am mistaken or there was a script for the JAS 10.5.4 to 10.5.5? Or was it a PPF file? |

I'm thinking about something !
Anybody have found an new issue to the probleme of resolution ? Sometimes the windows, are hiding cause the resolution is 1024x600 (and no 768) I' had read a topic where you can change it by typing line commands. But maybe does it exist a more simple solution ? Thanks |

mbato: thanx for donation
there is a ppf for 10.5.4 jas to convert it to 10.5.4 nc10 iso... i dont have a ppf to convert the 10.5.4 jas to a 10.5.6 nc10 dvd due to(1.5gb file size) but considering it now probably will be ready in 2-3 hrs :S tazevil: it is not a solution really the thing you are talking about, it is faking resolution! if you do it you will see more area but lesser detail, and fonts/icons etc all will start to look weird... Each program will have different results so you will start messing your system... |

Thanks for new files and all the hard work. I found the Bike Town instructions really helpful to use in conjunction with the Adobe pdf instructions when I did my version 1 install. I am currently somewhat confused since I still have my original NC10 modified Jas 10.5.4 ISO and don't know whether I use this again in the new Version 2 process? Since i still have one hour for the 10.5.6 Combo download to complete I will see if other posts make things clearer.

mbato: yes correct!, jas 10.5.4 to nc10 10.5.6 ppf... *but ppf will be about ~1.5GB*
sl3: will see what i can do about it paul: your problem is the easiest to solve put your nc10 modified iso to root of your current working partition (no name change pls, exactly how it is originally) put combo update 10.5.6 to root of your current working partition, and run the dvd upgrade 10.5.6 this process will convert your current nc10 10.5.4 dvd to a nc10 10.5.6 dvd iso with the new dvd iso in hand, copy it your windows xp partition (either using an external drive or paragon ntfs) and start reading the new pdf guide... (you can remove all previously created partitions and start new guide-- with recover partition and xp partition in hand, remove all others? and read the guide further you will understand) |

install package is for people who does not want to upgrade their iso/dvd/ddmac partitions... who just want to UPDATE to 10.5.6 natural ways...
you can just simply do an update to 10.5.6 as explained below, but i higly suggest readin the new guide (with new partitioning) and start a fresh install of 10.5.6 using ddmac ( for 10.5.6 you need a 10.5.6 iso, dvd upgrade package takes your jas 10.5.4 or nc10 10.5.4 or nc10 10.5.5 iso or ddmac partition and convert it to nc10 10.5.6 iso or ddmac) you will need to download apple delta update 10.5.6 manually and install it, after that install the 10.5.6 install package, aand when you restartm you will gain all your functions back again... also some of you are using efi partitions, so they can grab the files inside the install package and use them manually... clear? |

Honestly, if we could all be using the same properly patched and up-to-date 10.5.6 NC 10 ISO, it would be really good. If Mysticus uploads his 1.5GB 10.5.6 PPF, I'll patch the JaS 10.5.6 ISO and seed it via the Pirate Bay. Just downloading that would save people some time.

Hey Mysticus, hey guys,
something I found out and I just wanted to post here: The Welcome-Loop-issue only happens if there is no network-card (Airport) recognized. In this case I think, it's not just an issue with german NC10's. So, I did the update to 10.5.6 by using the delta update. Worked perfectly. But the trackpad prefpane is no longer present (it's not available in system settings). So I can't adjust anything. Anybody else got this problem? Today I've installed the NC10 10.5.6 Install Package. Installation was successfull but after restarting and also repairing permissions I have no battery status in my menu-bar and my NC10 is no longer shown as MacBook Air at the systemprofiler, now it's shown as NC10. Well, I know that it's no MacBook Air, but as MacBook Air I can use the remote disc automatically, that's a good advantage. So, how can I use or install the new drivers from the 10.5.6 Install Package but let OSX think that the NC10 is a Macbook Air? And is there any workaround for the trackpad? Thanks for help and ideas |
