I'm very interested by your POST, because I have a NC10.

I have try to intall iDeneb 1.3 (leo 10.5.5) and I have apply the "paulswinddriversutilities pack", I have changed my Wifi card with an Apple Airport Express.

- Things Work :

VGA/Resolutions/Mirroring
Sound
Bluetooth
Memory Card reader
Keyboard/Trackpad (UK and French, because I'm French )
Camera
USB mounting (USB key and USB hard drive work fine)
Restart/shutdown/sleep (Sleep working fine)
Battery Power management
Volume control keys
Wifi (with Apple card)


NOT WORKING
LAN
Original WIFI
Mic
Brightness control
Some other different function keys

Hi guys, I have a question about partition. Can Mac and Window share a same partition for file and stuff? I plan to set up my partition like this:

20GB for Windows XP
80GB FAT32 for storage of music mainly iTunes ...=> this will be used for Mac and Windows
20GB for Mac
20GB for Clone (as Mysticus suggested)
5GB for Data/Update
4.7GB for Install

Still waiting for my dw1490, darn I should have bought one from US instead of China. Now I have to wait another week to get it. Maybe I just go ahead and use my old BCM4311 from my TX1000....

you have to use FAT32 and both Mac and Windows can use it.

then it is power management setting or issue... work WOL, wake on lan... when on power connected, it has power on all the time, but when on battery it uses power management and avoids activity from wifi...

i know in windows' power management have settings for these kind of things individually... so there may be a setting for it in osx as well... obviously there is i think, so we need to find the pm setting for wifi (wake on lan active\passive when on power)

It absolutely makes sense. But I've never heard of WOL for Wifi on a Mac. Or did you mean ethernet? I'll browse the modules a little, maybe something will turn up...

or there is another program that you could use its called mac drive, you can get it from the usual torrent websites, thats what i've got running on my xp side just so i can access my mac side incase i need to replace kexts after a messed up updated.

I have now got OSX 10.5.5 working thanks to your AIO driver pack. However OSX does not pick up the batery status anymore.
It says "No batteries available". Any idea how to fix this?

Also the system seems to crash and say "you need to reboot your computer" randomly.

As well as this I can only hear system sounds (completion noise, increase/decrease sound noise/etc...) I cannot hear things like youtube videos or iTunes.
Any ideas on fixes?

adam, this topic is dedicated to installations and moding and updating, and having to discuss the same "WHICH one is BETTER" subject is boring and totally unrelated due to the fact that like i said, this topic is for people who have already decided, and figuring out issues fixes etc for all sort of things...

pzmc: did you customize the settings? did you check the FIX 1 under system func/ps2 fixes/?

I did customize to what it says on your website:


Kernels - All options work, if you are on 10.5.5 already, you can use 9.5.0 vanilla with fixChipset - Intel ahci with fix is fine
Audio - Azalia is needed, along with one of the sound switchers. (Make sure you understand that you need to install CHUD package to be able to use any sound switcher)
Video - GMA 950
Network - If you bought one of the compatible WIFIs, it should work OTB, so no network choice is needed unless you have specific need
System Functions - PS2 fix / fix 1 is tested and working (for experimental package wait for confirmation)
SMBIOS, if you have vanilla smbios, just choose smbios resolver, works just fine, same with the SMBIOSEFI. (Dont choose both, choose only one you want)

To Others: I found the Wake On Lan settings and other power management settings and will try to add/modify some settings to see if I can manage to prevent the system to wake up from usb activities! wish me luck... because i dont know if it will work or not, i m just going to set the certain settings to find out which one will work correctly... lets see

I have a problem with keyboard, i want to change the functions of keyboard (key ctrl, alt, windows) but i can't open system preferences of mouse and keyboard, if i click doesn't do anything!!!

and now to write @ i have to push windows button!!!!

yeah, i have tried that and it does not work. i have messed up quite a few kext files but i have restored the whole osx last night. i will try the method again tonight. fingers crossed.

xeo: keyboard layout problem will happen on any laptop... certain keys will be in different locations, however you should be able to change couple of keyboard keys from system/pref

i use a iatkos 4i (leopard 10.5.4).
When i installed i could change parameters of keyboard and mouse in system pref, but now when i click on it nothing appen!!!

why dont you dump iatkos and start using samsung nc10 dvd...

thats the very reason i made this project, so that i dont have to look for what drivers are messing with the system from other dvds...

i've also ubuntu and xp in other partitions and i don't want to reinstall everything!!!!!
