Mysticus or Niteman or anyone else who might be able to help:
I'm at 10.5.6, using MSIWindos86x, upgraded from 10.5.4 with the help of Mysticus' NC10 fix. (Thanks Mysticus!). Everything is working well, except for one thing: I lost my sound Now, I installed the chud package via Biketown, but didn't know what to do with it - so realize I may have messed up my sound (or not) by loading it. I also may have messed up my sound in the upgrade to 10.5.6 as well. Is there a simple fix for me to get my sound back? Could it be as easy as using Mysticus' 10.5.5 fix and making sure the correct sound driver is checked (but making sure not to check anything else)? Also, any word on how to make chud work would be appreciated. Thanks to Mysticus and everyone else working hard on the OSX install on the nc10. EDIT 1/2/09: Just found the AzaliaAudio.pkg and reloaded it. Worked a charm. |

I've got a problem where the clock on the OS X side is several hours different than the XP side. When I set the clock on the OS X side, then the XP clock is off. Anyone know how to fix? It's not perfect, but the best fix is to add the 'RealTimeIsUniversal' registry key to Windows: http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/mswish/ut-rtc.html |

Power Management is not working at all at this time, so the netbook will allways run on full throttle in osx. That's the reason why the fan is continiously blowing. As you will know there is no original apple-atom hardware so that's why there's still no solution for Power Management on this new chipset. Untrue, I'm pleased to say! One of the kexts that you are using may be causing this - but on my machine (which has only AppleDecrypt, replacement PS2 drivers, AppleAzaliaAudio, and AppleACPIBatteryManager) the system fan only spins up during heavy processing/activity. During normal usage, this is rare and usually occurs only for short lengths of time - for the most part of machine is totally silent. |

Well that's just a small heat-sensor attached to your cpu-heatsink/fan. It doesn't affect processor speed at all.. your cpu will always run at 1.6 gHz when using osx. And if I'm not totally wrong you will notice that, when using windows, the fan will stop blowing at all at some times, and that's when the cpu's running at lower speeds and won't need any additional fan-cooling at all.
So it's not really Power Management when your fan goes faster sometimes, because it noticed that your cpu got warmer Cheers, iXXn |

Is it possible to enable scrolling with the trackpad? I installed the trackpad-driver from biketown, but with this i can only enable Clicking. I dont want to have multitouch, but scrolling within the right zone would be great.

@ Iscander1980: As more than often posted here - Stock Wifi does not work on OS X. Buy a Dell and you will get it working OOB.
@ -benir: No, at this time there is no native solution, but please read the forum, there are some ideas or ways to get multitouch work. I don't know why some people don't read this topic. I've read every single page and I think after this I'm no longer asking stupid or already answered questions. |

G4-Flo: Could not be Agreed more
I have added answers to some of those questions, and some noobs never learn... (NOOBS i say, because Newbies, although new to all these things, they read first before they post, NOOBs on the other hand, always jumps tolast page and read no single line, and start wasting space...) Believe it or not, I had to argue with many noobs so many times, in my other topics for the same behaviour... I m usually told to be stupid to tell them to read... |

@G4-Flo thanks, but i didnt ask für multitouch... only for the right scrollpanel
i think this is a forum and if there are 51 pages you couldnt expect from everyone to read every single page. I used the search but with no result, so i asked one "stupid" question... Did you drink too much yesterday so your head is going to explode, or why are so unpleasent? |

I've been running my NC10 with 10.5.6 for a week now, I still can't believe what a great job Mysticus and others have done. As others have said, trackpad scrolling aside this machine is almost perfect!
A question about software update... besides the major OS point updates, is it safe to install everything else? e.g. Java, airport updates? I'm scared to break my installation has anyone had any troubles? Also, posted this a few pages back but no response yet - if there's an SD card in the slot when it's put in sleep mode, the NC10 won't wake from sleep. Any workarounds for that? HAPPY NEW YEAR! |

You couldnt expect from everyone to read every single page. Why not? We are not your personal helpdesk. Please put a little effort into finding the answers that are already in this thread. It ain't rocket science... Cheers Oh, by the way: a dutch newspaper has labeled the NC10 'Netbook of the year 2008'. Yay! |

I used the search but with no result, so i asked one "stupid" question... Did you drink too much yesterday so your head is going to explode, or why are so unpleasent? Sorry, but if you would search this thread using words like "Scrolling, Trackpad etc." you would have found all the answers you need! Yes, you are right, this is a forum. And what's the first thing you should at a forum? Read the forum. After this, if you don't find answers? Ask. Nobody will be unpleasent if you're asking AFTER reading. And guy, your argument that we are on page 51 fails. If you would have tried to read a bit here you would have found the answer within the first 10 pages. As Mysticus said - With such posts we are wasting space and time. |

the problem was i did not find any answer of this thread when i was using the search with the keyword "scrolling" so i thougt it wasnt mentioned yet! Maybe im not able to use the search correctly, i dont know..
Then i was asking, if somebody knows to activate scrolling... and i got rather an insult than an aswer. So im sorry for wasting your time and the space! |

im sorry. Next time i will do it better. I was just suprised about the reaction concerning my question...
So am i wright, when i say, that for the scroll panel there will be no solution in the nearby future, but for multitouch there is a workaround? |

im sorry. Next time i will do it better. I was just suprised about the reaction concerning my question... So am i wright, when i say, that for the scroll panel there will be no solution in the nearby future, but for multitouch there is a workaround? look you are not the first noob here and probably not the last either... some questions have been answered over and over again and again... this is an annoying thing... i understand you are excited about your software, but be clever! read through things, before you post something... there is no propar answer to your question, and it has been mentioned already. You still insist on your point... You are wrong in your argument as well as your comments... Noone has a duty to entertain you, and this is no MacDonalds where you just order and in two minutes it will be ready to be eaten... You gotta learn to search as well... Everynow and then, people argue about not finding things through search because IM search function is completely non - functional or very poorly implemented... if you want something bad, go to google, and type in "insanelymac whatever your problem or subject is" and see if it grabs anything... If 50 pages are written and you dont read it, do use google, else dont post! You didnt read through topic, and you dont really wanna read it either, and you dont know how to correctly search at all, and want a quick answer fix... That is the type of behaviour which will put you in nasty situation... |

I can only agree with you mate , when i had to rebuild my osx because of a stupid mistake
i had to re-read about 30 pages to make sure i didn't miss anything. The information is in the thread for all those that are not too lazy to read. Regards Niteman1969 |

I got the Dell 1490 wireless card and installed it tonight. I tried using the Dell driver for XP, but it says I don't have compatible hardware. Does anyone have a link to the Broadcom driver for XP?
