Compaq presario c500, c300 and others HP laptop WI-FI fix solved! Options

Hola a todos desde Argentina , bueno not good english, instruccions in spanish ok:

Comence a instalar desde tiger 10.4.6 hasta Leo y nunca pude hace a andar la wi-fi de mi compaq presario c500 en muchos foros decian que habia que habrir la notebook y tapar el pin 20 otros decian que habia que actualizar la bios pero nada funciono hasta que un dia y esto lo quiero aclarar antes que nada un señor de este foro llamado Chun-Nan me dio la respuesta sin haberle preguntado y en realidad el IOPCIFamily.kext era el causante de este problema asi que segui las instrucciones y la luz del switch se prendio al reiniciar y la reconocio como Airport tienes que hacer un backup por si algo sale mal , quiero decir tambien que no me da mas kernel-panics que me estaba dando el usb-wifi que compre en una tienda , ok :


Here are the new revsions of IOPCIFamily. You can use tools (like OSXTool or kexthelper) to install the kexts or you can try these steps:

1. Make sure "IOPCIFamily" is inside "System/Library/Extensions"
2. Open "Terminal"
3. Type "sudo -s"
4. Type "chown -R 0:0 /System/Library/Extensions/IOPCIFamily*"
5. Type "chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/IOPCIFamily*"
6. Type "touch /System/Library/Extensions"
7. Exit "Terminal"
8. Reboot the OSX

PD: no me agradezcan a mi yo no invente nada y tampoco no me gusta robarle el trabajo a nadie solamente comento que para mi esta fue la solucion por eso quiero aclarar que todos los creditos son para CHUN-NAM

yes work in my compaq presario c500 (Broadcom 4311) , ¡¡¡ no more usb wifi !!!
