3 - INSTALL NVDARWIN.KEXT USING KEXT HELPER EASY INSTALL

4 - NOW GO TO DISK UTILITY AND REPAIR PERMISSIONS

5 - NOW GO TO NVIDIA 9000 SERIES AND CLICK RESTART

6 - LET IT BOOT TO NORMAL MODE

7 - THERE IS AN EXTRA OPTION IN OSX86 TOOL
ENABLE QUARTZ GL

NOW JUST RESTART

EVERYTHING SHOUL BE WORKING
DVD PLAYER WORKS
FRONT ROW WORKS
I CAN CHANGE RESOLUTION

yes 100% working

but if you have a 256 mb video card you have to use
NVdarwin Installer 1.2.3.mpkg
and select the right one
your case 256 mb
i edited the nvdarwin.kext
to work only with 9500 gt but 512 mb
the reason why
to make it easier for the user
you have to make sure your device id is in nvdarwin.kext
if is not there then add it using
PlistEditPro.dmg

important

uncheck translucent menu

I can play at guitar hero 3, but at the change resolution, i have a black scren and i must do a sleep/unsleep to restore the proper color

Try this installation method:
(Alternate download location: www.onetimesales.com/drivers/macosx)
Download NVIDIA_9000_Series_Driver_v2.zip and NVDarwin 1.2.3 before installing the video card. Your system may not boot up correctly after installing Leopard 10.5.5, but you can boot up with safe mode switch (-x) to bypass it. When you have Mac OSX loaded successfully, just run the installation from NVIDIA_9000_Series_Driver_v2.zip first. After rebooting, install NVDarwin 1.2.3 next. Reboot the system again, you should have Geforce 9000 with full resolution and QE feature.

try with a clean install
it will not fail
you also need framework 10.5.5
i go from 3 to 16 in opengl extensions viewer
when i install framework 10.5.5

when trying with another injector before using nvdarwin
will give you invalid values

download the package do it that way and you see results

even easier

install ideneb 10.5.5

no video option

boot with

-s

type this

/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
rm -rf /system/library/extensions/geforce.kext
exit

Mrx33 you are the man!!! By the way, my card is an Evga 9500 GT. Started with a clean install of iDeneb 10.5.5, followed Mrx33's instructions and its finally working!! Never thought it would work on a 680i mobo.

but I made some modification to get the system profiler read correctly as NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT, which is after I installed NVIDIA_9000_Series_Driver_v2, I continue with the gfxutil method here http://forum.netkas.org/index.php?topic=222.0 so I can use EFI strings.
