h0tw1r3
Thanks! I don't have a Gigabyte, but an Abit IP35 Pro. Your patched drivers work great. I'm going to try these on a MSI P35 Platinum also.

ru4863
isn't working for 10.5.5 ? any ideas. It worked fine on Kalyway 10.5.2 but after combo update doesn't work. I've tried re-applying a couple of times.
chaosinmind
It would be nice to know if this works for iDeneb 1.3 (Leo 10.5.5) on vanilla kernel with my EP43-DSL... If no one responds, I will try to post results tonight.
chaosinmind
Ok. I installed the driver on iDeneb 1.3 (Leopard 10.5.5) and under audio settings it shows that I have a device installed and the system sounds are no longer gray. The thing is, I plugged my speakers into Line Out but I did not hear any sound for iTunes or any other app. I selected Line Out as the output but this did not resolve the problem. I tried plugging headphones in instead but I had the same result. Anyone have any thoughts?

whitman
After install it looks like we only have the back mic port working. What I meant to write was, this is a nice AppleHDA! Everything sounds great, the only thing I've been wishing for is the front mic port to work. At the moment, it looks like only the back mic jack is working. Could someone double check this? Making mods to the pathmaps and verbs I was able to get both the front and back microphone ports "working" but get this.. the front mic port doesn't work with microphones. The only way to get input out of it is to plug HEADPHONES into the front mic port and talk through the L/R earpieces. Strange? Anyone have any ideas? whitman

silentzzz
Yeah! I'm have this noise too! Motherboard — Gigabyte EP43-DS3L And very interesting detail — when I change the volume or start playing something in iTunes, that noise is disappearing ) But if I leave my workspace for a few seconds, the Noise is return ) It's make me crazy! Somebody HELP! %) P.S. I so sorry for my bad English ) I hope you understand me and can help )
edwardd
This is great, thanks. I recently got a new rig, and I've been going nuts trying to get this working correctly for a week now. It works great, including SPDIF in and out. Here's my motherboard (in case anyone else has it and is searching for that model!) Gigabyte GA-EP43-UD3l Everything else I tried would (at best) get the card to show up in the system profiler with no input or output pins. Replacing with this really did the trick. Thanks!
