3. Install the new kernal and reboot with -tscsync -v yes "thank you to OUI, Kassi, and cosmot1" working on my HP NC 6320. do I need the tscsync patch too ? Just installed the 9.4 kernel all Ok so far. do I need to type the command above every time I start up ? edit: put the command tscsnc into apple boot. Anyone else having troubles with Parallels when both cores are working ? My Win2K installation freezes every time (with or without VT) |

Thank you. I myself and many Inspiron E1705/9400 and other Core Duo Dell laptop users have been waiting for this. This works perfectly with Dell Inspiron 9400. I updated to 10.5.3 with the Vanilla kernel and the correct system.kext, then replaced the kernel 9.3 with the one provided here. Everything went smoothly. Installed MenuMeter and it shows two cores. I can't thank the author of the patch enough.

Does the same thing happen w/ fusion. can you try to install a new 2k installation?? first check the log for Parallels. |

When I plug USBpreipheral, it doesn't work !!!!!!!!!!!!! But if I boot on OSX after plug my USB... it work Any idea ?? You have to make sure your system.kext matches your kernel. I installed using 10.5.2 kalyway. Used the Upgrade package to upgrade to 10.5.3 with the moblin kernel (which also installed the 9.3 matched system.kext with the kernel). Last, I downloaded the 9.3 kernel from this thread and replaced the moblin kernel. USB worked after that (without booting with it). -DTsu |

THANKS!!!! OUI!!! i'll been waiting for this patch a lot of time xD. thanks OUI again! jostfx, your sig says: Dell Inspiron E1705: Kalyway 10.5.4 w/ Darwin 9.4.0 (TSC sync + XNU patch) and Chameleon v1.0.11 really, it's a tsc sync patch, applied to the XNU kernel I'm glad this is working for people. As for an AMD patch, i don't know.. if you can provide me w/ a diff file to apply first for amd, then i'll apply the tsc patch, compile it, and you can test it, as i have no way to test AMD cos |

I just installed the compiled 9.2 kernel listed on page 1 of this post and get a grey "need to restart" screen. I was working with a fresh install of iaktos 10.5.4 with toh kernel 9.2 The way i read this post I thought all I needed to do was to install one of the compiled kernels listed on page 1 post 2 of this thread using osx86tools and I would be good. what did i do wrong? was I suppose to use the patch somewhere? I have a dell D620.
