I'm using a 9800GT 512, my system has been up and running for over a year now and seems to run osx better than it runs Vista. But the two problems I am yet to solve are... >Only 1 output and no inputs on built-in audio. >System Restarts every time successfully, but randomly decides to restart on shutdown. Shutdown seems to work fine for a few weeks, then it will randomly restart instead, (which it does atm). My only solution to this is to flick the power switch on the back of the psu before it starts up again, but this causes a very slow startup for some reason, i guess because it hasn't un-loaded properly. I also notice that the system does actually power down for a few seconds before it starts again unlike when i use the restart function. This isn't a major problem as i have lived with it for ages, but it would be nice to fix the final main problem with it, if anyone has had similar problems help would be much appreciated, thanks. |

im having exactly the same problem, not sure if I want to try the CPU=1 though, I shouldn't have to do this as it worked perfectly before update, but by the looks of things it is people with multiple core's who are suffering from the same problem. I installed iDeneb 1.4 on the following specs Intel DG35EC Motherboard Intel Q6600 Processor nVidia GeForce 9800GT 512 Card Running Vanilla kernel, voodoo has exactly the same problem |

hi, I have a similar setup on the same motherboard (which works great), and a 9800gt 512 graphics card with intel core 2 quad q6600. I used the NVInject2.1 512 on the ideneb 1.4 installer and worked great, but I would suggest trying the NVDarwin 512 and NVKush, only have one installed at one time though. Also when installing I found that mine would freeze on startup unless I used the VGA out on my card rather than the DVI. Hope this helps |

argh, installed iDeneb 10.5.6 with nVidia 9800gt 512 and worked absolutely perfectly, but since buying new hdd and re-installing iDeneb it stops working after the apple screen with spinning wheel, can't remember exactly which options I chose on install but I definately used nvinject2.1 512. Could this be a kernal propblem? pretty sure I used vanila but this won't work, tried voodoo also. help would be much appreciated, thanks... |
