Upgrade your hardware you poor sap. Also, it's all about hardware 3D now. 2D is dying out, didn't you realize this or are you just too busy trying to flame people who disagree with you and show any support for MS? Btw, I don't have 7 installed. So don't even bother trying to harass me about it, I wont listen because you're a gigantic biased and egotistical noob. |

More than likely using the iPhone Simulator (a modified version of it). If you note, he's apparently using the Remote with this for a Home Button, so who knows. I still call fake. Could be a clever video done. With practice you can make it look just like you are "using" it, but in reality you're just playing along to the movie to make it look like you're interacting with it. Plus, what monitor is that? If it's really working and that really turned in response to the monitor changing orientation, you know it needs an accelerometer for that. As far as I know, no consumer monitors have this (but I could be wrong if it's a monitor that is ZOMG NEW), and so far only places like hospitals have those kinds of monitors. I love how there's no info in the video or in the page it's posted on in regards to how this was done. Screams fake. |

If you read their blog.... then you would realise that they have decided to release it after Snow Leopard is released, so they everyone can theme Snow Leopard straight away... They are doing this by having a AAPL Developer Membership, and then fiddling around with Snow Leopard... They will then have it ready for SL as soon as it's launched.. Do you even look at the stuff you read before you decide to respond to it? My post was in JANUARY, what month is it now preytell and what month was that post on their blog you are referring to made? Think before you speak. |

No, I have just been really busy with other stuff. 10.5.7 is here already though. I've resumed porting Voodoo to 10.5.7 now, it should be backported to 10.5.6 also. Let's see how long it takes to finish this. I'm trying for an alpha version by next week. This is good news, thanks for the update. I've been checking the Google page for the project for updates, but nothing so I was worried that maybe the project was silently discontinued. Glad to see this isn't completely the case. I'll definitely love to help test it. |

The 7600GS package on the iPC installer is for the 512MB edition with 02e1 device ID. You'll need to add your device ID to IOPCIPrimaryMatch in Info.plist in GeForce.kext, NVDAHAL40.kext, and NVDAResman.kext. |

Onca again you demonstrate that you don't understand what you're posting about: Ubuntu installs a fully working grub (grub-legacy) to the default location *unless* you do the obvious thing & select customise where you have the option of installing it elsewhere (as needed to work with chameleon) or not at all (allowing you to play with bootloaders to your hearts content at a later stage) ubuntu keeps its kernels & initrds in /boot this is fairly common practice in linux & does not constitute a "half-install" please stop spamming your blog full of half-baked assumptions born of ignorance. Ubuntu 8.10 installs GRUB partially to the bootsector by default, and the rest to /boot by default. With the default install method, Chameleon will not see your 8.10 installtion because the bootloader in the bootsector is not valid (because of this partial installation) from. As stated in my blog post, if you dump the bootsector of your Ubuntu 8.10 drive or partition, you can hexdump it to see if it's valid or not by looking at the last two bytes. If they are 00 00 then the bootsector is not valid. If it's 55 aa, then it's fine (and should be seen anyway by Chameleon at that point). If it's not valid, all that needs to be done in the end is run "sudo grub-install /dev/sdX" where X is the drive you need (a, b, c etc), or /dev/sdXY where X is the same as mentioned, and Y is the number partition. This will install GRUB to the bootsector and make it valid, and then Chameleon can see Ubuntu 8.10. Most people don't know a whole lot about that (not even I do, I am still learning), so when they go through the default setup, and they go "WTF IT NO WORK" then they have this as a solution. |

Doesn't the Ubuntu installer install grub? As stated above, only partially, one part on the partitons bootsector, and the rest on disk in /boot. I have the fix posted on my blog: http://www.hara.ipwn.me/blog/?p=150 |

Can you elaborate on how to use DD.exe for this? I spent days trying to install bootloaders with it & came to the conclusion that it simply cant access the right blocks. Which devices and which notation do you use? Make sure you use \ instead of /. Also, I will test removing AppleDecrypt.kext and seeing if it still boots. |

Ubuntu 8.10 shows up (on a different drive), as well as Windows 7 (also on different drive). Also my backup drive shows up, maybe they could only add drives that are bootable? I have Mac OS X on my master HD, Ubuntu 8.10 on my slave HD, and an NTFS storage drive attached via USB. My Mac OS X drive has two GUID partitions, one for the main system, and the other for iPC X-DL. When I boot, it detects "Macintosh HD", "iPC X-DL", and "Media Drive", which are HFS+. HFS+ and NTFS respectively. It does not see the Ubunu 8.10 drive at all. Is there anything I can do to solve this? Even reinstalling Ubuntu? |

Installed, working great! However, didn't appear to detect my Ubuntu 8.10 installation... Loving the ability to use new Apple logo's for the boot graphic. |

Does this speed up the ripping process? I've seen Handbrake say it was going to take over 9 hours to rip an hour and a half DVD... Unacceptable. |
