Panther support for Geekbench 2.0

Posted by Colonel, 06 March 2007 - - - - - - · 232 views

Okay, so with the release of Geekbench 2.0 i figured that I should try it out on all of my machines. The MacBook and AMD  box worked fine with Geekbench, but my iBook wasn't so fortunate. Geekbench apparently wouldn't run on 10.3.x due to some vital missing components that Geekbench needed to run. I went ahead and made an installed package that...

Vista's got the munchies for Disk Space

Posted by Colonel, 04 March 2007 - - - - - - · 78 views

I have no idea what the problem is. It has to be some horrible, horrible bug or...SOMETHING! Windows Vista is  making about 15GB of hard drive space disappear daily. I have no idea where it is going, but everytime i check how much disk space is left in C:\ the number keeps getting lower and lower. I have a "250GB" hard drive, although it...

System Profiler Patch

Posted by Colonel, 11 December 2006 - - - - - - · 185 views

I've developed a patch that fixes the "There was an error while gathering this information" in System Profiler after installing 10.4.8. It will also fix the "Machine Name: Mac" and "Machine Model: ACPI" bugs. The latest build (1.2) works on both the 8.4.1 kernel as well as the new 8.8.1 kernel. Depending on which kernel...

MacBook Problems...AGAIN!

Posted by Colonel, 30 November 2006 - - - - - - · 73 views

When I had my MacBook's discoloring issue fixed, I thought that the problem was done an over with. I guess not...

A few days ago I had noticed some darkish spots appearing next to the touchpad again. At first I thought that this was just a mere shadow, but as the days went on they began to get darker and darker. Finally, I took my MacBook up to a...

Journey

Posted by Colonel, 20 August 2006 - - - - - - · 84 views

Yes, we all know that Colonels Browse was like the Microsoft Bob of browsers. A failure. It's time to get serious and make a browser that is a real winner. That's where Journey comes in. I think that OS X needs a good browser. Sure Safari and Firefox are okay, but we just need something that really cooks. I'm going to be putting off Colonels...

Quick Colonels Paint Update

Posted by Colonel, 19 August 2006 - - - - - - · 117 views

Just a quick update on Colonels Paint 3.0.

I've decided to make Colonels Paint a Java application. This means that I will have to rewrite Colonels Paint all over again from scratch, but it will help out in the long run. When Colonels Paint 3.0 officially debuts, it will be able to natively run on Mac, Windows, and Linux. I'm really excited about...
