Chameleon 2 RC3 Released!
In addition to adding the long-awaited Snow Leopard extensions loading and 1+TB disk support, this latest release includes changed to the graphics enabler and to the SMBIOS patcher.
SMBIOS
Finally you can specify your smbios.plist location using a device selector prefix like “SMBIOS=rd(0,0)/Extra/smbios.plist”.
VideoROM
You can pass an alternate video ROM image file to the system.
VBIOS
Using this boolean switch, you can control the injection of your video BIOS to device-properties. We got various reports if this switch is really needed to make your graphics device handled correctly by the system.

I have SL installed using Universal 3.5.2 wz Darwin bootloader. everything works well except the native resolution (only 1024768
). I use a 3G USB modem from Huawie and it was working fine with SL 10.6.1 till I installed this bootloader. The OSX boots well but now the 3G modem is recognized as a volume and not as an interface. I reinstalled the driver and rebuild Kexts but no luck. Note sure what’s wrong and would also appreciate some help on how to get GMAX3100 to work on SL as it works very good on 10.5.8 on the same laptop (HP 6730b) .. TIA
good
awesome, thanks a ton!
Will someone explain where the DSDT.aml file is located and how to replace it with a previously-patched version (made by AsereBLN) for a GigaByte board, or is that even necessary? I want to boot 10.5.8, then upgrade to SnoLeo.
Hi mates; i installed snow leopard universal v3.5 and after a successfull installation i booted into OSX 10.58 and installed chameleon 2 RC3 into snow leopard partition then switch back and booted from Snow leopard.
For the for time after a week trying i succeed to boot with -v flag, but at the end i got stuck at the ligne that says : Kernel is LP64 what is this and how i can get rid of it. Thank you for chameleon for the great RC3 version i love it.
Nope. You need to install Leopard, THEN install Chameleon. You’ll need a bootloader or prebuilt disc, ie Boot 132 or iAtkos.
How can I install this, it seems to be OSX only? Do i need to have an already OSX system running? I thought I could install Cham, then boot from the Leopard DVD, and install ? Help please…
Looks like SL is still a no-go on my board (Intel DX58S), but RC3 is working fine and I suppose it’s the first step toward getting SL running on this thing. If only Chameleon would recognize the SL DVD as bootable, I might have a shot…
