Chameleon 2 RC2 is out

28t1It seems like a rush of bringing out new bootloaders lately. Today Zef released the new release candidate of Chameleon 2.

In this new release candidate Zef and his team fixed “many anoying bugs” but also added some cool new features. These include things like NVIDIA graphics card detection, automatic RAID booting, HPET enabling on motherboards which don’t have HPET control in the BIOS, setting the built in flag for ethernet cards and hiding non-bootable HFS partitions.

My apologies if this is the incorrect forum. If one of the moderators can “move” my comment, if necessary , that would be great. I REALLY could use some help!

I have recently acquired a G4 Digital Audio. I tried to load Ubuntu for PPC, with no success. It started with yaboot, but the Ubuntu kernel didn’t recognize the CD-ROM drive. However that is not my problem…. PROBLEM: I have burned an old copy of Tiger 10.4.1 onto CD. I burned it on a PC (because that which is my external HDD (backup HDD) is connected). I attempted to boot the G4 with the first CD (1 of 4). The cd just spinned in the tray. Should I burn it as a bootable data disk (in Nero)? Would that matter, considering the burning software is Nero on Windows X Prof, Intel processor?
