Video of iPhone/iPod OS running on Mac Pro with touch screen monitor
The bright sparks over at Dreamfield (Swedish post-production powerhouse) have figured out how to get the iPhone/iPod OS running on a Mac Pro with a touch screen monitor. Check out the brief vid below!

There's not much to see in this setup, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was real though. It won't be the next ATM, but it could be something else since there are loads of other possibilities.
its bull, he boots it from a darwin bootloader. its not possible. maybe from an emulator but this is NOT happening natively from the darwin boot loader…
More than likely using the iPhone Simulator (a modified version of it). If you note, he's apparently using the Remote with this for a Home Button, so who knows.
I still call fake. Could be a clever video done. With practice you can make it look just like you are "using" it, but in reality you're just playing along to the movie to make it look like you're interacting with it.
Plus, what monitor is that? If it's really working and that really turned in response to the monitor changing orientation, you know it needs an accelerometer for that. As far as I know, no consumer monitors have this (but I could be wrong if it's a monitor that is ZOMG NEW), and so far only places like hospitals have those kinds of monitors.
I love how there's no info in the video or in the page it's posted on in regards to how this was done. Screams fake.
But my guess is that there is enough room in a mac pro to emulate certain aspects of the iphone/ipod OS. Way more than enough, so some of it if not most or all is done through that. But we do need a guide for this, tihs would be pretty damn fun to have.

tdtran1025:
I don’t think this is a Dell, its just any screen and an Ergotron-foot installed at it…
The interesting thing is I recognize the the monitor in video being a Dell. How did they do (turning it into a touch screen) that?

Just take a look at these guy's work… http://www.dreamfield.se/Can't be real…

They don't use drivers for mac anyways.

yeah i mean they both run darwin but honestly where on earth could you have gotten network card/ethernet drivers and graphics drivers for that…
ok.we need a guide for that.
LOL, how did he get the accelerometer in the touch screen!
